Der alleinstehende Nakano arbeitet tagein, tagaus als Angestellter in einer Firma, die von ihren Mitarbeitern höchsten Einsatz und ständige Überstunden verlangt. Infolgedessen besteht sein Leben eigentlich nur noch aus Arbeiten, Essen und Schlafen. Nahe vor dem Burnout stehend, kommt er eines Abends spät von der Arbeit zurück, als ihn in seiner Wohnung ein seltsames Mädchen erwartet, die für ihn Essen gekocht hat und ihn wie eine Ehefrau zu Hause begrüßt.

Das Mädchen, welches sich selbst Senko-san nennt und als Kitsune (japanischer Fuchsgeist) bezeichnet, hat rötliche Haare, Fuchsohren und einen prächtigen Fuchsschwanz. Sie ist sehr klein von Statur und auch von der Figur und vom Gesicht her ähnelt sie eher einer Zehnjährigen. Sie sagt allerdings von sich selbst, dass sie 800 Jahre alt sei und Nakano von nun an verwöhnen wolle, weil er es sich verdient habe und er außerdem dem Typ Mann entspreche, den sie mag.

Nakano, der damit der weitaus Jüngere ist, willigt erst einmal ein. Aber kann er, der er sich immer zuverlässig für andere eingesetzt hat, sich wirklich ohne Skrupel verwöhnen lassen? Und was sagen die Menschen in seiner Umgebung dazu, dass er plötzlich mit einem jungen Mädchen zusammenlebt, das offenbar auf Cosplay steht und sich seine „Mutter und Ehefrau“ nennt?
